Palm i705 Available With Go.Web OnPrem Security Solution

GoAmerica, Inc., a leading developer of wireless data technology announced that it has integrated Go.Web OnPrem with Palm’s i705 handheld. By offering the popular Palm i705 handheld with GoAmerica’s behind the firewall security solution, corporate customers will benefit from the simplicity and functionality of Palm handhelds, combined with GoAmerica’s wireless data security solution designed to meet the complex needs of an enterprise.

The Palm i705 handheld offers push email from up to eight email accounts, Internet and intranet access, PIM functionality, built-in dual expansion
through the Palm Universal Connector and Palm Expansion Card Slot, and the ability to easily create, edit and view Word, Excel, and PowerPoint compatible documents directly on your handheld.

GoAmerica’s standard offerings include over-the-air encryption from a wireless device to the GoAmerica server, as well as SSL and VPN from the
server to the enterprise. Now, with Go.Web deployed behind the firewall the encryption and decryption of data can occur exclusively on-site at the
enterprise.

The Palm i705 handheld is based on the Palm OS v4.1 platform. It features 8MB RAM and 4MB Flash ROM, a VZ 33 MHz Motorola Dragonball VZ 33 processor, a rechargeable lithium polymer battery, and a HotSync USB cradle. The Palm i705 handheld weighs 5.9 ounces, including the battery, and measures 4.65 inches x3.06 inches x0.61 inches.
