Bogus Second Life survey leads to card info theft

Users of popular online virtual world Second Life are in danger of getting their credit card details stolen via phishing pages that supposedly offer 2500 Linden dollars – Second World’s internal currency – for a completed survey (click on the screenshot to enlarge it):

Unfortunately for them, there is no survey and no reward – once they enter their credit card information and submit it, they are faced with a message saying “Your credit card was declined! Please try another or back to Linden Lab.”

According to GFI’s Chris Boyd, the website has been shut down by the hosting company, but there is no guarantee that the same or a similar one won’t be set up soon, so he advises users to be cautious when faced with similar offers.
