RSA SecurID(R) Authentication Solutions to Help Secure Real Time Gross Settlement System

The new system for large-value euro payment transactions, RTGS(plus), is the response of the Deutsche Bundesbank to the dynamic changes, new requirements and the substantial change in the European payment scene. RTGS(plus) not only provides innovative payment processing, but real-time-information and interactive change of all control parameters through browser-technology. Financial institutions require maximum system security for all transactions via RTGS(plus)-system. Every credit institution or investment firm located in the European Economic Area is legally allowed to directly access the system; other banks may participate indirectly. The RTGS(plus)-payment-system is scheduled to go live on September 3rd of 2001.
