F-Secure Online Solutions Collaborates with Elisa Communications To Launch Finland’s First Security Solution for ADSL Customers
Collaboration Brings Increased Protection Against Viruses, Hacking, other Security Threats
ESPOO, Finland, Febuary 13, 2001 F-Secure Online Solutions (F-SOS), a leading provider of centrally managed security services, and Elisa Communications today announced the first bundled personal anti-virus and personal firewall services for ADSL users in Finland.
The companies have entered into an agreement whereby F-SOS is the premier Security Service partner for Elisa Communications. The first result of the partnership is the launch of Personal Anti-Virus and Personal Firewall Services for Elisa Communications’ ADSL customers.
Offering automated security services enables end users to receive Anti-Virus signature updates and Personal Firewall software updates transparently when connecting to the Internet. This automated and frequent update mechanism increases protection against viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and malicious attacks.
Scheduled for availability in March 2001, the new services will be delivered through automated distribution technology for provisioning of installation and software updates, coupled with F-SOS support services. Service Providers and their customers are expected to be the first to take advantage of F-SOS’s security services.
