Guardent Joins Internet Security Alliance as Founding Sponsor

Offers Expertise in Security and Privacy Consulting and Managed Services Experience to New Cross-Industry Alliance

WALTHAM, Mass., April 19 /PRNewswire/ — Guardent, Inc., the leading provider of security and privacy programs for Global 2000 organizations, today announced its full support of the Internet Security Alliance (ISA). Formally launched today, ISA assembles a roster of global leaders from multiple industry segments to create the most comprehensive, business-led network for up-to-the-minute threat reports, best practice standards, risk management strategies, certification and more.

As a founding sponsor with a business model focused exclusively on digital security and privacy, Guardent will offer its expertise and resources to help develop rational security strategies rooted in real world experience derived from Guardent’s large installed base of consulting and managed services clients.

“The ISA provides the necessary industry cooperation that Guardent believes is required for the Internet to continue to be a valuable commerce environment,” said Jerry Brady, Guardent’s Vice President of Research & Development. “Above and beyond other information-sharing venues, Guardent believes that ISA will provide the necessary cross-industry view of the shared risk space the Internet represents. We are excited at the opportunity to participate, and to bring more value to our consulting and managed service clients through our participation.”

ISA is a collaborative effort between Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and its CERT Coordination Center (CERT/CC), the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) and a handful of industry sponsors including Guardent, American International Group (AIG), Mellon Financial Corporation, NASDAQ, TRW and VeriSign. EIA is a national trade organization with over 2,300 companies, representing the full spectrum of U.S. manufacturers and more than 80% of the $550 billion electronics industry.
