TruSecure Corporation Expands Executive Team
The Leader in Internet Security Assurance Strengthens Senior Team
WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 13, 2001–In support of its continued growth and global expansion, TruSecure(R) Corporation, the leader in Internet security assurance, today announced the appointment of three new executives: Greg Coticchia as chief operating officer, Jef Loos as senior vice president, general manager of European operations, and Sanjay Mehta as vice president of business development. Together this team brings more than forty years of additional senior executive experience to TruSecure.
As Chief Operating Officer, Greg Coticchia is responsible for the successful growth, expansion and delivery of TruSecure’s security assurance solutions and ICSA Labs offerings. Greg is a twenty-year veteran of the software and services business.
Prior to TruSecure, Greg served as senior vice president of marketing and business development for AXENT/Symantec, responsible for corporate and enterprise strategy and delivery, with responsibility for marketing communications, product management, and business development. Greg assisted AXENT in growing from $69M to over $150M in revenue, until its acquisition by Symantec for almost $1B in 2000. Previously in his career he served as Chief Executive Officer for Mallett Technology, where he grew the company into one of the largest software and services resellers in the computer aided design (CAD) and analysis business. While at Mallett, Coticchia led the organization through SEC approval to raise capital in one of the industry’s first direct public offerings via the Internet. Greg has also served as a senior executive at Nat Systems, Duquesne Systems/LEGENT Corporation and Emprise Technologies.
Greg earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He also completed Carnegie Mellon University’s Entrepreneurial Management Program. In addition, he has been a board member/board advisor of several companies, including Four Rivers Software Systems, Network Alliance, BurbNet and InnerLink.
Hailing from Antwerp, Belgium, Jef Loos joins TruSecure as senior vice president, general manager of TruSecure EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Jef will create TruSecure Operations to support both existing multi-national customers and new clients in these regions. Previously, Jef spent nine years at Gartner Group (GG) Belgium where his most recent position was regional manager Gartner Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, and where he successfully managed Benelux and France and realized revenues of $50M. Prior to Gartner, Loos worked at Digital Equipment Corporation for five years. Jef Loos holds an economics degree from the University of Antwerp and a degree in fiscality from the University of Brussels.
As Vice President of Business Development, Sanjay Mehta is responsible for the successful creation of TruSecure partnerships with industry-leading ISVs and service providers. Sanjay has seven years of business development experience in the software industry.
Prior to TruSecure, Sanjay served as director of business development for AXENT/Symantec, responsible for all marketing and technology partnerships. He successfully orchestrated deals with companies such as BMC Software, Cobalt Networks, Compaq, iPlanet and Radware. Additionally, Sanjay assisted AXENT in launching its multi-million dollar security appliance business. Prior to joining AXENT, Sanjay served in several different capacities for Hewlett Packard, including information technology, business development, and channel marketing. He assisted in the creation of HP’s OpenView security management business and successfully created partnerships with the likes of Cisco, Intel and Netscape.
Sanjay earned an MS in computer information systems and a BS in accounting from Colorado State University. In addition, Sanjay serves as a guest lecturer and adjunct professor for his alma mater.
