(NYSE: CA) to achieve the certification – ca smart – a new Computer Associates brand-building seal of excellence that validates the iKey 2000 series’ technical integration with eTrust security solutions. Computer Associates’ eTrust PKI is an easy-to-deploy certificate and registration authority that enables strong authentication for eTrust Web Access Control and eTrust Single Sign-On. Web Access Control, also announced today by Computer Associates, is a Web authentication and authorization product that provides single sign-on for Web portals and secure Web-based applications.
Rainbow’s iKey 2000 token will allow clients in enterprise environments to store and use digital certificates and digital signatures. The digital certificates and signatures are stored on a device so small that it fits on the user’s key ring. This empowers a mobile user with the ability to authenticate through any workstation or laptop with a USB port. The integration with eTrust solutions provides a means of extending Rainbow’s user-friendly authentication method into the public key infrastructure (PKI) of CA security solutions.
