RSA Conference Proves Security is IT’s Hottest Topic

BRACKNELL, UK, August 27, 2002 — Organisers of the RSA® Conference 2002, Europe today confirmed that registrations for the event have reached unprecedented levels, and also unveiled a host of new sponsors and exhibitors. The third annual e-security conference and exposition in Europe will be held on 7th – 10th October 2002 at Le Palais des Congrès in Paris.

Oracle has joined Microsoft, KPMG and RSA Security as a major sponsor of the event, which has also received the backing of the European Commission, Liberty Alliance Project, CompTIA and the PKI Forum. Gemplus and Qualys are also announced as silver sponsors.

Mark Reeves, vice president EMEA at RSA Security, comments, “The response to this year’s Conference in Europe has been significant, and demonstrates how much of a “hot button’ e-security is for technology professionals. Issues such as identity management, Web services and mobile security are on everyone’s lips and the RSA Conference’s importance as an invaluable forum for discussion and expert advice is widely recognised.

“Despite the summer break and a general downturn in tradeshow attendance, we have seen attendees and sponsors alike commit in record numbers. The quality of speakers and exhibitors at this RSA Conference is set to make it Europe’s premier e-security conference and expo, where the latest products will be on display and key industry figures will present their vision for the future.” He continues.
