SSH Certifier to Provide Secgo with a Flexible, Scalable Authentication Platform for Using and Managing Digital Certificates
HELSINKI, FINLAND and TOKYO – June, 10, 2003 – SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of managed security middleware, and Secgo Group, a provider of networking solutions, today announced that Secgo will deploy the SSH Certifier(TM) PKI (Public-Key Infrastructure) product family to replace its in-house developed PKI service platform. Secgo has licensed SSH Certifier for additional scalability and to enable more comprehensive managed PKI solutions.
Secgo’s existing managed CA (Certification Authority) customer base of more than 40 enterprise and governmental agencies will gradually be converted to the new SSH Certifier-based service platform. SSH Certifier will be installed in the Secgo Service Centre, which received last year the international BS7799 Certificate. The applications enabled by the service include two-factor smart card based authentication of remote VPN, Web and mobile users, and centralized authentication management of VPN gateways.
