Clientless VPNs Give Channel An Insatiable Appetite For More

The Channel are jumping at the opportunities presented to them by the SSL VPN (clientless VPN) market according to Netilla Networks who are a leading global provider of enterprise-class secure remote access solutions and who have seen their channel market grow by 150% in the last two months. The growth is in step with analyst predictions that European end-user VPN product and service expenditures will grow 150% from $5.4 billion to $12.2 billion between 2002-2006 (Infonetics Research) and that the SSL based solutions will be the dominant method for remote access with 80% of users utilising SSL (Meta Group).

To meet Channel demand to sell SSL VPNs across Europe Netilla will introduce a strong Channel Marketing Programme in Q3/Q4 2003 built on much of the award-winning marketing programmes Joynes introduced at Check Point(tm). Partners will be accredited and graded upon their technical ability. Key vertical sectors such as Government, Manufacturing, Healthcare and Financial Services will be targeted by Netilla in order to generate good quality leads for partner follow up. MDF and Co-op marketing funds will be available to accredited partners through the programme along with marketing, public relations support and marketing communications/lead generation activities.

As part of Netilla’s commitment to grow the Channel they have set up a new training centre for both partners and resellers which will be run by LANsition based in Burton-on-Trent. One day courses will run from September onwards offering end users and partners alike the opportunity to obtain accreditation.
