NetFrameworks announces BlastDoor Secure File Exchange Corporate Server and Online Service

New Technology enables non-technical users and workgroups to store and exchange encrypted files with simple username/password login.

McLean, VA June 23,2003 – NetFrameworks, Inc., a privately held security product and services firm, today announced availability of its BlastDoor ™ Secure File Exchange Corporate Server and Online Service. BlastDoor technology, developed in-house by NetFrameworks, allows individuals, organizations, and workgroups to securely store and exchange encrypted files and related information over the Internet with a simple username/password login. At last, organizations can guard their information and the privacy of their customers with a simple solution they can deploy today. Corporations can be up-and-running with BlastDoor in one day. No need to install desktop software or deploy smart cards or other complex tokens.

“Our BlastDoor technology allows organizations to securely store and exchange files in a highly simplified but powerful way. Solutions from other vendors force businesses to deploy complex desktop software and difficult-to-manage encryption keys for users” said Eric Greenberg, NetFrameworks Chief Technical Officer and co-founder. “BlastDoor symbolizes the NetFrameworks commitment to delivering security value to its customers, not overhead.”

For inside the corporation, NetFrameworks offers the BlastDoor Corporate Server (Linux-based). Corporations can license the BlastDoor Corporate Server ($4995 per server installation) and use the server with an unlimited number of users. For organizations not wishing to license and manage their own BlastDoor server, NetFrameworks offers BlastDoor Online, a secure file exchange service available over the Internet.

“We designed BlastDoor, from the ground-up, to be a Fort Knox of file security while, at the same time, offering a near zero learning curve for non-technical users and system administrators alike” stated Rich Boyer, NetFrameworks Senior VP of Program Management. “We can have customers up-and-running in one day with this innovative technology.”

BlastDoor Corporate Server and BlastDoor Online are available now.
