Hospital District of Varsinais-Suomi Implements SSH’s Digital Authentication Technology

The Hospital District of Varsinais-Suomi is the first healthcare organization to purchase and deploy the SSH Certifier solution through Fujitsu Invia.

Providing highly specialized healthcare services such as cardiac surgery, neurosurgery and radiotherapy to patients in the southwest region of Finland, Hospital District of Varsinais-Suomi needed a comprehensive, reliable security solution to enable the use of smart cards and digital certificates for strong, two-factor authentication to health-care applications and secure network login. The hospital district selected SSH Certifier as part of a comprehensive healthcare IS solution from Fujitsu Invia because of its robust security, strong standards-based authentication and ease of configuration and scalability capabilities.
