The Training Camp Accelerates Learning For Aetna Insurance Staff On Latest Microsoft Security Skills

Philadelphia, PA April 14, 2004 The Training Camp has announced it has been selected to provide IT training for Aetna staff scholars as part of an employee scholarship program. Aetna is one of the nation’s leading providers of health, dental, group, life, and long-term care benefits.

The Training Camp, a recognized industry leader in accelerated learning for information technology, will provide a 14-day MCSE/MCSA 2003 Security+ program for Aetna.

“We want to ensure our network performs at its best, while we maintain maximum security for our customers and their data,” said David Wetmore, Distributed Support Manager at Aetna. “We chose The Training Camp because the instructors were experts in their field, but understood our business as well as the particular IT needs within the health industry. Our staff will gain the knowledge and skills to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Windows-based networks, with the focus on security that we need.”

The Aetna employees selected for the training scholarship will spend 14 days at The Training Camp’s main education center in Pennsylvania. The intensive boot-camp style course uses a variety of teaching methods to maximize learning and hands-on experience for each candidate to certify while on site.

“With more than 27,000 employees, Aetna relies on the IT department for ongoing, full technical support. That includes helpdesk, customer services and Web support, network and infrastructure and desktop support,” said Ed Denzler, CEO of The Training Camp. “We’re pleased to be able to offer the courses, as validation of the importance a major employer puts on skills enhancement. It’s a reflection of the increasing demand for training and certification we are seeing across almost every industry.”
