ISL Biometrics and A4Vision Collaborate to provide 3D Facial Recognition Secured Access and Identity Monitoring Solution

ISL Biometrics strengthened the biometric identity management market this week by signing an OEM deal with A4Vision who have developed 3D facial imaging and monitoring for enterprise wide access control security.

By combining A4Vision’s technology with ISL Biometrics’ SentriNET, companies will for the first time be able to combine physical and IT security, enabling biometrics to have a multi-functional purpose whereby workers can access a building as well as their network.

Russ Davis, CEO of ISL Biometrics, said, “At last A4Vision has come up with technology that can measure in three dimensions instead of two and together with the power of ISL’s SentriNET V3 companies can achieve both physical and logical identity management through Microsoft’s MMC. Users can now centrally manage total access privileges with SentriNET’s ‘click-to-enable’ functionality together with A4Vision’s technology, which is so precise that the infrared camera that measures the contours of the face will no longer be fooled by photos or even identical twins. The partnership also comes at a time when the cameras have come down greatly in price, making it a far more affordable proposition for the business community.”

The deal includes collaborative product development, integration, global sales, distribution and support by A4Vision.

“We have packaged the leading facial identification technology and best biometric middleware available in order to respond to the wide-scale demand for unified identity management, access and monitoring systems. A4Vision is already well recognized as a leader in 3D facial biometric technology and with today’s SentriNET OEM product announcement, we demonstrate our commitment to deliver fully integrated biometric technology applications that benefit commercial, civil and government sectors”, said Grant Evans CEO of A4Vision.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for both our companies to demonstrate the power, flexibility and value proposition that biometrics can give to the enterprise. The OEM arrangement facilitates our expansion into critically sensitive government access markets and meets the biometric identity management demands of the global marketplace,” said Davis.
