According to the report, the managed security services market in North America continued to grow strongly in the second half of 2003, amidst both consolidation and new market entrants. Revenue increased by 19 percent during this period.
Gartner made several updates to their evaluation criteria in April 2004 to include looking for capabilities such as vulnerability internal scanning and security threat updates under a vendor’s breadth of services, as well as looking for updated Web portals that provide customers with a wide range of options for reporting and analysis.
