Finnet Selects F-Secure to Offer Hosted Security Services
Helsinki, Finland – October 13th, 2004. F-Secure Corporation (HEX: FSC), and Finnet Ltd today announced that they have signed a partnership to offer managed desktop based security services to Finnet’s Internet customers.
Finnet is a telecommunications group that offers its clients a full range of local and national voice, data and digital television services. In 2003, the group made a total turnover of 978 million Euros and it employs about 4600 people. Finnet’s advanced Internet services are marketed under the DNA brand. Finnet has a current market share of approximately 20 % and it is growing strongly especially in the Helsinki, Turku, Tampere and Jyvaskyla regions.
Finnet will offer their customers a powerful security solution, which includes an Anti-Virus software with automatic updates, as well as an easy-to-use personal Firewall product that protects the customer’s system against break-in attempts when connected to the Internet. The subscription to this automated service makes it very easy for the customer to stay protected as there is no need to buy any licenses or worry about renewals or updates.
