French Service Provider Numericable Offers Subscription-Based Antivirus And Firewall Services In Cooperation With F-Secure
F-Secure Corporation (HEX: FSC), and a French cable operator Numéricable today announced that they will cooperate to offer managed security services to Numéricable’s customers.
Numéricable, a full affiliate of the Canal + Group, is among the largest cable operators in France and offers a range of television and Internet services. The regional network of Numéricable represents an infrastructure that serves 221 local communities in total, consisting out of 25 large and middle-sized cities as well as communities in the west and southeast part of Paris. Currently Numéricable offers its services to 100,000 Internet customers. The company is rapidly expanding its Internet broadband customer base by offering multiple access speed tiers, WiFi connections and bundled services, including television over IP.
Numéricable will offer one solid security package to their customers composed out of Anti-Virus and Firewall. The security package allows Numéricable’s consumers to protect their computer to the maximum against malicious codes and hacker intrusions.
