F-Secure Provides Security As Service to the Canadian Cogeco Cable
Cogeco Cable (TSX: CCA.SV) and F-Secure® Corporation (HEX:FSC), a worldwide leader in antivirus and intrusion prevention, today announced a partnership to provide Cogeco Cable customers with Internet Security Services including anti-virus, personal firewall, parental control and anti-spam with anti-spyware coming soon. Cogeco Internet Security Services, powered by F-Secure’s managed security service, will be made available to approximately a quarter of a million Standard and Pro High Speed Internet customers as of December 15th, 2004. With this deal F-Secure enters the Canadian service provider market.
By providing Internet Security Services powered by F-Secure to Cogeco customers as part of their High Speed Internet packages, customers will now have access to the most secure and the fastest High Speed Internet service. Cogeco Security Services will automatically check for updates on an hourly basis; ensuring that customers are always protected against the latest threats.
