Eicon Networks launches Shiva 4102 SSL VPN Gateway
CeBIT, March 10th, 2005 — Eicon Networks Corporation, a global leader in providing communication products for networked business applications, today announces the launch of the Shiva 4102 SSL VPN Gateway to complement its growing range of security solutions for the small and medium enterprise.
The Shiva 4102 SSL VPN Gateway is a no-compromise, fully featured device that competes, feature for feature, with large enterprise solutions. The Shiva solution is however unique on the market as it will scale to meet the requirements of the most demanding small and medium enterprise in a cost effective and manageable 1-U hardware platform. The Shiva 4102 SSL-VPN Gateway has been designed to deliver class-leading simplicity in installation and management. The device is expressly for small to medium enterprises that do not wish to have to install and manage software on every PC or device in the field and do not necessarily have specialist technical expertise for setup. It is also designed with Eicon’s very strong distribution and reseller channels clearly in mind, and comes with a rich support and service offering.

The 4102, the first product to support SSL from the already very successful Shiva VPN Gateway family, will be available to customers starting in Q2 2005.
