18 July 2005: Sproqit Technologies – the technology leader in intelligent thin-client mobile computing – today announced the launch of Sproqit Workgroup Editionâ„?, offering the most secure, cost effective and feature-rich wireless solution available for handheld mobile devices and smartphones. Sproqit Workgroup Edition supports up to 50 users on a single Workgroup Agent computer.
Sproqit also announced channel agreements with Ingram Micro Europe and Unisys. Ingram Micro will distribute Sproqit’s new mobile solutions for accessing email and file browsing across the EMEA region, initially in the UK and France. Unisys will also add Sproqit solutions to its services portfolio to assist its clients in providing mobile access to their business applications.
Sproqit’s patent-pending architecture ensures user information is never sent to a third-party data center before being forwarded to the mobile device, making it more secure than current store-and-forward solutions. Users can remotely access, attach, read and send any file from their handheld device over any wireless network, including local wi-fi networks. Sproqit offers real-time updates for email, calendar, tasks and notes along with access to all folders and messages regardless of when they were received. The Sproqit Workgroup Edition is easy to install and offers users the ability to configure and administer their own accounts remotely from the wireless device.
