Protegrity Cto Ulf Mattsson To Present At RSA Conference 2006
STAMFORD, CT – February 7, 2006 – Protegrity Corporation, the leader in Data Security Management(TM) solutions, today announced that Ulf Mattsson, CTO, will participate on a panel discussion about “Best Practices in Database Protection” at RSAConference 2006 in San Jose.
The panel discussion begins at 3:25 PM on Thursday, February 16 and is moderated by Noel Yuhanna, senior researcher, Forrester Research. Other panelists are Aaron Newman, CTO and Founder, Application Security Inc. and Daniel Wong, senior development manager, Oracle.
Data breaches disclosed at Marriott, Ford and ABN Amro in December capped the worst year ever for known computer-security breaches. The breaches come at a time when the Department of Homeland Security’s research budget for cybersecurity programs was cut 7%, to $16 million, for 2005. ID theft-related bills are stalled in Congress, and data brokers remain unregulated, “so it is likely that many more database breaches have gone unreported,” notes Mattsson.
