Success of SPICON 2006, first web application security industry user conference
As Web application security concerns continue to escalate among top executives and those involved in all aspects of the application development lifecycle, S.P.I. Dynamics, Inc., announced the success of the company’s inaugural user conference, SPICON 2006, held October 17-19, 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia. Open to SPI Dynamics’ growing list of over 800 customers worldwide, SPICON provided a unique forum for government and industry customers and thought leaders to discuss and define how organizations can address and manage their Web application security more effectively throughout the entire development process.
“SPI Dynamics’ SPICON is focused on bringing together some of the most notable minds in the industry to share ideas and discuss the latest Web application security issues,” said Brian Cohen, president and CEO, SPI Dynamics. “SPICON proved to be an unmatched opportunity and forum for our customers to leverage their security perspectives and deepen the value of their overall investment in our solutions, plus receive valuable insight into the best practices and lessons learned from peers. We were excited about the overwhelming success of the event and the positive feedback we are continuing to receive from our customers, and we look forward to using that feedback to further enhance the SPICON experience for 2007.”
Speakers at this year’s event include Joseph Feiman, Vice President and Research Director, Gartner Inc., Rhonda MacLean, former CSO of Bank of America and Founder of MacLean Risk Partners LLC, Alan Paller, SANS Institute, and representatives from Visa, Verizon, Mercury, USAID, Pentair, and CSC Consulting, among others.
