ShadowProtect isk-based backup and disaster recovery software

StorageCraft Technology Corporation announced the upcoming release of the latest version of its ShadowProtect line of disk-based backup and disaster recovery software, StorageCraft ShadowProtect IT Edition 3.0.

It includes features which allow hardware-independent restoration following a catastrophic data loss or hardware failure of a Windows server, desktop or laptop. This allows IT professionals to create a live or cold state backup image and restore it to a completely different system.

With ShadowProtect IT Edition 3.0, IT professionals are also able to restore a backup image to virtual environments, which can be the fastest method of restoring a system in the event of a catastrophic failure. Recovery to a virtual environment may also save money by avoiding costly downtime.

ShadowProtect IT Edition 3.0 allows administrators to backup, restore or migrate to new systems with flexibility – whether they are going from a physical machine to another physical machine (P2P), a physical to a virtual machine (P2V), or even a virtual machine to a physical machine (V2P).
