The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced today the availability of a new CompTIA Network+ exam that reflects the evolution of today’s data and communications networks.
CompTIA Network+ 2009 focuses on the management and operation of network infrastructure. The exam tests for the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and install a network. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to describe networking technologies; understand basic design principles; adhere to wiring standards; and use the proper testing tools.
More than 235,000 information technology professionals worldwide are CompTIA Network+ certified. They work in a variety of roles, including network administrators, network technicians, network installers, help desk technicians, and IT cable installers. Organizations across a range of industries and from small businesses to large enterprises use CompTIA Network+ as a skills benchmark for tech workers responsible for network operations.
