Windows 7 compatible fingerprint sensor software
UPEK launched Protector Suite 2009, the latest version of the fingerprint sensor software already used on millions of laptops, which now supports Windows 7. By incorporating support for the Windows Biometric Framework (WBF), the software can be used with any fingerprint sensor that is supported by the WBF.
Protector Suite 2009 works with fingerprint sensors in computers and peripherals to protect users from identity theft and to make it easier to access personal information such as password-protected web accounts. Computer users can simply use their finger instead of memorizing and typing passwords to:
- Logon to Windows
- Access password-protected websites and applications
- Encrypt sensitive files and folders

- Launch favorite applications
- Switch between user accounts
- For businesses, protect access to PCs and corporate networks with pre-boot authentication and multi-factor authentication e.g. RSA SecurID.
Protector Suite 2009 supports Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit), Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit), and Windows XP (32 & 64 bit) and includes support for 22 languages.
