Skybox Security added new capabilities to Firewall Assurance 6.5 and Network Assurance 6.5 that make it easier for security managers to see, analyze and take action to secure the network infrastructure against potential cyber threats.
Firewall Assurance 6.5 includes a new graphical firewall map that enables administrators to see each firewall and all connecting interfaces, allowing checks and changes of zones and interface properties within the map. Dynamically created and automatically updated, the firewall map allows administrators to interact with the firewall architecture for greater understanding and analysis of interactions among security devices.
Network Assurance 6.5 introduces a new capability to overlay identified host vulnerabilities on a visual network map, allowing security managers to quickly spot potential exploits from an attacker’s point of view. Customers use Network Assurance’s Access Analyzer technology to check new application connectivity requests for unintended risks and identify less-risky alternatives before a change is made.
Both products are available for customer download, as is Risk Control 6.5 with Vulnerability Detector, a next-generation solution for vulnerability management that detects network vulnerabilities in an automated and non-disruptive manner, without an active scan, as well as security metrics to measure the magnitude of the attack surface and track effectiveness of remediation tasks.
