Fortanix strengthened its position in the fast-growing Confidential Computing space, by announcing support for AWS Nitro Enclaves.
AWS Nitro Enclaves expands on the protection and assurances offered by the AWS Nitro System by providing an isolated and hardened environment to protect code and data in-use. Fortanix customers can use AWS Nitro Enclaves to create isolated computing environments to further protect their confidential workloads running on a wide range of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances– without having to make any modifications.
Enterprises can more easily preserve privacy and securely process sensitive data and applications within AWS Nitro Enclaves using Fortanix Data Security Manager and Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager. Fortanix solutions are renowned for their simplicity of deployment and use, and ease of management from a single pane of glass.
Fortanix Confidential Computing solutions are already being used in a variety of applications and industry segments including healthcare, fintech, financial services, and manufacturing, helping preserve privacy and providing security across the entire data life cycle – at rest, in motion and in use. AlgoMedica, a U.S.-based company using deep learning reconstruction technology to deliver high quality CT scans with low radiation dosage, is already leveraging Fortanix Confidential Computing technology.
“AlgoMedica is the leader in providing AI based software for optimal acquisition of CT scans by enabling imaging centers to offer diagnosable quality CT scans at patient safe, low radiation dose. Our software PixelShine is deployed using on-premises hardware today, but we believe that our future growth will depend on our ability to offer cloud-based solutions,” said Jagdish Vij, Co- founder of AlgoMedica. “In this context, we are working together with Fortanix to deliver secure and HIPPA-compliant cloud-based solutions based on Confidential Computing offerings from Fortanix, including Confidential AI, and Trusted Execution Environment based technologies such as AWS Nitro Enclaves.”
“Fortanix has led the confidential computing space, with the enclave platforms we support, partnerships with the leading cloud providers, and most importantly customers in production deployments,” said Ambuj Kumar, CEO & Co-founder of Fortanix. “We are excited to work more closely with AWS and bring the power of AWS Nitro Enclaves to our customers.”
