Precisely hires Anna Langhorne as CPO

Precisely announced that Anna Langhorne has been appointed Chief Privacy Officer. With more than 20 years in technology, research, and privacy and data protection compliance, Langhorne joins Precisely at a pivotal moment to elevate its data stewardship as the company continues its growth trajectory.

As Chief Privacy Officer, Langhorne is responsible for maturing Precisely’s privacy and data protection program and providing leadership for ethical data stewardship. To effectively maintain Precisely’s place as the authority for trust in data, Langhorne will further develop its practices with an enhanced focus on respecting and protecting personal data.

For Langhorne, this means applying a privacy ethics lens to build a strong foundation in trust, data, and technologies that meets the requirements of international privacy and data protection laws and regulations, while making stewardship meaningful across the enterprise on an organizational level.

“Precisely is helping our customers to gain deeper insights and to make better business decisions based on the elevated accuracy of their data,” said Craig Zajac, General Counsel, Precisely. “As a strategic supplier, our customers have to trust that their information is safe with us. In meeting this expectation, we are seeing the data privacy conversation with our customers shift from pure legal compliance to include expectations of ethical data stewardship. Anna will help us to both scale our global data privacy programs and to lead our efforts to achieve the highest standards of privacy best practices of the future.”

“I’m thrilled to join Precisely and help mature the organization’s thinking regarding privacy and data protection. Privacy is grounded in respect for the individual and is complementary to data integrity, which is already germane to Precisely’s business. It provides an excellent foundation for progressive, ethical privacy stewardship,” said Langhorne. “There’s always an opportunity to improve and to challenge ourselves to provide a world-class, robust, and privacy-forward approach to compliance, putting our customers, employees, and individuals first.”

Prior to joining Precisely, Langhorne was Global Data Privacy Counsel at Regeneron, in New York, where she collaborated with senior leadership and business units to establish and operationalize the company’s global privacy program. A solution-oriented privacy attorney with a background in academia and IT consulting, Langhorne brings an applied understanding of global privacy and data protection laws and regulations, which Precisely can leverage to cultivate the next level of trusted partnerships with business clients and stakeholders. Langhorne is based in New York.
