NO HAT 2026

October 10, 2026
Centro Congressi Giovanni XXIII, Bergamo, Italy

This is a volunteer-run, vendor-neutral computer security conference that brings together researchers, professionals, and enthusiasts to exchange technical perspectives on the state of cybersecurity.

Established in 2019, it attracts specialists, practitioners, students, and hobbyists from across the broader fields of security and privacy. It also serves as a meeting point for the hacking community in Italy.

With more than 900 registered participants worldwide in its 2024 edition, the event has grown into one of the larger cybersecurity gatherings in Europe.

It is organized annually by the Italian non-profit association Berghem-in-The-Middle. The organizing team consists of around ten volunteers with a shared interest in computer security, supported by a group of contributors who assist with event operations.

The conference is international in scope, held in Italy and conducted in English, with speakers and attendees from multiple countries.

The program focuses on technical content, with speakers selected based on expertise and relevance of their work. Presentations emphasize research, practical insights, and knowledge sharing within the community.

While supported by sponsors, the event maintains a vendor-neutral approach. Talks are not used for product promotion, and all speakers are selected through an independent review process.

The conference is entirely volunteer-driven, with no commercial profit. Its primary aim is to provide a space for learning, discussion, and collaboration within the cybersecurity community.
