GlobalSign and WIS Wiesinger/Schenk Partner
Brussels, October 15, 2001 – GlobalSign, a leading Trust Services Provider offering flexible outsourced PKI-solutions and certification services for e- and m-business, and WIS Wiesinger/Schenk & Partner GbR, a German company developing and offering software and system solutions announced today a strategic partnership agreement to provide the German market with digital certificates through a Registration Authority located in Munich .
WIS Wiesinger/Schenk & Partner GbR are specialized since 1992 in developing products and support services for the hard- and software industry, focusing on developing software and systems solutions as well as services in the field of archiving systems and data/document management. Many of their developments are integrated in their partners’ software solutions, such as 3Com GmbH, Bertelsmann Direct GmbH, Deutsche Post AG, SBS Siemens Business Service, etc.
Under the terms of the agreement, WIS Wiesinger/Schenk & Partner GbR will use GlobalSign’s VirtualCA?â€, a quickly deployable, low cost, outsourced managed PKI solution allowing the customer to issue, defer and revoke GlobalSign PersonalSign 2, 3 and ServerSign certificates and manage Registration Authority tasks via an easy-to-use web-based interface within the GlobalSign Certification Authority infrastructure.
