GuardedNet Joins OPSEC Alliance
ATLANTA, GA. – September 28, 2001 – GuardedNet, developer of the most advanced threat management and information security operations software, announced today its acceptance into Check Point Software Technologies’ (NASDAQ: CHKP) OPSEC(TM) [Open Platform for Security] Alliance program. Through the OPSEC Alliance program, GuardedNet is working towards OPSEC certification of its recently announced NeuSecure(TM) solution to seamlessly interoperate with Check Point’s industry-leading VPN-1(TM)/FireWall-1(TM) software.
GuardedNet’s recently announced NeuSecure is first to deliver mission-critical, security threat identification and response, proactive protection, and top-level management of security operations.
“For GuardedNet customers, interoperability enables better protection and response for Security Operations Centers (SOC). NeuSecure harnesses different, complementary sources of security event information to quicken response,” noted Robert T. (Bob) Hughes, president and CEO of GuardedNet. “The OPSEC Alliance brings vendors together for the benefit of customers, SOCs and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP), and users.”
Large, global networks have many different security devices and systems from many vendors, with differing abilities to log security events or block attacks. Typically, these networks include Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), firewalls, servers, and routers. NeuSecure, a new class of threat management software for information security operations, aggregates threat information from multi-vendor, multi-device networks to improve enterprise security, delivering real-time threat analysis and response capability to security analysts. NeuSecure solves the issue of “Log data overload” by consolidating log data from your many security products, correlating the data, and then identifying the “real” threat – hastening critical decisions and response.
NeuSecure functionality provides security management and reporting, correlating events and alerts generated by OPSEC-compliant security solutions to provide event monitoring and analysis.
