Kaspersky Labs and Questar sign partnership agreements
Kaspersky Labs, an international data-security software developer, has signed retail and distribution agreements with Questar, an Italian software republishing company, which will enable Questar (www.questar.it) to sell Kaspersky Labs anti-virus software in the Italian market.
In accordance with the agreement Questar presents Kaspersky Labs current product line, which includes solutions for personal and business use.
“In April 2001 Kaspersky Labs switched its product line (former AVP Gold and Platinum) to a new one, which is based on the world’s most advanced anti-virus technologies. We are now glad to strengthen the presence of these products in the Italian market in cooperation with Questar, one of the strongest players within the local market. According to our agreement with Questar Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal and Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro, localized into Italian and suitable for home users, will be distributed as boxed and downloadable versions. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Business Optimal, an anti-virus solution for small and medium business, can be purchased through Questar as a downloadable version” -, said Kirill Buzukov, Kaspersky Labs International Distribution Director.
All of the anti-virus products offered are powered by the well-known Kaspersky award-winning anti-virus engine and provide a high level of defense against all types of malicious code, in all of the virus propagation sources. They include the unique background virus-interceptor, Monitor, which allows the anti-virus software to comprehensively control all of the file operations and prevent attacks of even the most technologically advanced malware. They also contain extended capabilities for virus scanning inside e-mails and the majority of archived and compressed files. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Business Optimal provides complex anti-virus security for small and medium-sized business. It supports a wide range of platforms and applications, protects workstations (Windows 95/98/ME, Windows 2000/NT Workstation, OS/2, Linux), file servers (Windows 2000/NT Server, Novell NetWare, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD) and controls data traffic in e-mail gateways (MS Exchange Server, Lotus Notes/Domino, Sendmail, Qmail, Postfix, Exim).
