Aladdin’s eSafe Offers Dual-Source Anti-Virus Protection Through a New Partnership With Kaspersky Labs

Cambridge, United Kingdom, April 17, 2002 Kaspersky Labs, an international data-security software vendor today announced the integration of the Kaspersky(tm) Anti-Virus engine into the Aladdin Knowledge Systems’ eSafe(tm) Internet security solution, offering organizations an additional layer of anti-virus protection.

Providing an additional level of anti-virus protection within Aladdin’s eSafe, the Kaspersky Labs’ anti-virus module reinforces eSafe’s existing ICSA-certified anti-virus security solution. Users may now choose to add the Kaspersky signature tables to eSafe, allowing eSafe to automatically receive updated anti-virus signatures from Aladdin’s Content Security Response Team as well as from Kaspersky Labs.

The Aladdin-Kaspersky partnership brings together eSafe’s award-winning proactive technology with Kaspersky Anti-Virus, one of the most respected virus protection suites. eSafe customers now have the option to purchase two-tier virus protection and two-tier support.

“Anti-virus technology always benefits from multiple points of protection,” said Shimon Gruper, Aladdin’s Vice President of Internet Technologies. “The new Aladdin-Kaspersky partnership allows Aladdin to offer its customers an additional source of protection that compliments eSafe’s already powerful anti-virus and anti-vandal security solution. By giving eSafe users this additional module option, Aladdin is providing further peace of mind by having the equivalent of two anti-virus providers in one solution.”

“We are very pleased to provide eSafe customers with a Kaspersky Anti-Virus engine that will significantly increase overall virus protection,” said Vsevolod Ivanov, Kaspersky Labs Marketing and Sales Director. “Our integrated technologies are ranked among the world’s leading anti-virus solutions, a status underscoring the technical superiority of Kaspersky Labs products and their ability to provide users with full-scale protection from viruses of all types.”
