Helsinki, Finland – November 19, 2002 – SSH Communications Security (HEX: SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security solutions, today announced a partnership with Rainbow Technologies, Inc. Under the terms of the partnership, SSH Certifier(TM) PKI product family will be integrated with Rainbow Technologies’ iKey(TM) USB authentication keys, allowing strong, flexible PKI-based authentication for enterprises.

“Increasingly, organizations are relying on security hardware solutions for two-factor authentication that still require additional integration for fine-grained access control and access management,” said Graham Peat, European marketing manager of Rainbow Technologies. “We are pleased to partner with SSH on solutions for cost-effective enterprise security using SSH Certifier and iKey, the world’s best-selling USB key.”

“Strong encryption and authentication is critical in today’s business applications,” said Tatu Ylonen, CTO of SSH Communications Security Corp. “The combination of Rainbow Technologies’ iKey and SSH Certifier will provide customers with an easy, flexible and scalable means to secure e-mail, enable strong two-factor authentication, and secure other critical business applications. “

SSH Certifier combined with SSH Token Master(TM), provide an effective way to personalize USB keys centrally or in a distributed environment. The iKey can be personalized in a batch run or on an “as needed” basis at remote sites. SSH Accession(TM) provides easy integration to standard end user applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and the award-winning SSH remote access software solutions, SSH Secure Shell and SSH Sentinel(TM).
