Trustix Secure Linux 2.0 Beta 3 Released

Trustix team announced that Trustix Secure Linux 2.0 beta 3 (aka Lightning) is available for download. As this is a beta release, it is not intended for usage on production servers, but rather for testing it and sending your feedback to Trustix. Improved package selection and rewritten init scripts are some of the new changes since the Beta 2 (aka Hurricane) release.

This release includes: Improved package selection, Apache 2, Bind 9.2, Courier IMAP daemon, Cyrus IMAP daemon, CUPS printing system, DB1 and DB4, ISC DHCP daemon 3, Fcron, FreeSWAN 2.00 with x509 certificate support, GCC 3.3, Glibc 2.3.2, GnuPG 1.2.2, Hdparm 5.2 , Kernel 2.4.20, Journalled file systems: ext3, reiserfs and jfs, Iptables for improved firewalling, Improved hardware support including Intel Pentium 4 hyper threading, PHP 4.3, MySQL 4, Netcat, Netatalk 1.6, NTP 4.1, OpenLDAP 2.1, OpenSSH 3.6.1, OpenSSL 0.9.7a, Perl 5.8.0, Postfix 2.0, PostgreSQL-7.3, PPTP, ProFTPd 1.2.8, Python 2.2.3, RPM 4.0.4, RP-PPPoE 3.5, Rsync 2.5.5, Samba 2.2.8, Squid 2.5, Stunnel 4.04, Swup/Rdfgen, Xinetd etc.
