Capgemini UK plc Boosts The Security Of Its Network And Mobile Data With Utimaco Safeware Solutions
Oberursel, July 28, 2004 – Utimaco Safeware, a major European provider of professional security solutions, confirmed today that consulting, technology and outsourcing services provider Capgemini has selected its encryption and access control solutions to enhance the security of its corporate and mobile data network.
Capgemini will use Utimaco’s SafeGuard Easy, marketed by the security vendor as the ‘electronic fortress for laptops and notebooks’, to provide a robust hard disk encryption and access control solution for its mobile devices, providing vital around the clock protection for confidential business data.
Capgemini will further enhance the protection of its corporate data in the UK using SafeGuard LANCrypt, which provides increased control of confidential data across the enterprise, whether stored on PCs, server networks or mobile devices. SafeGuard LANcrypt automatically encrypts selected files or directories and allows organisations to quickly and easily define access rights for individual users or user groups, thereby preventing information falling into the wrong hands, either within or outside the organisation.
