Symantec To Acquire Liric Associates and @stake
Symantec has signed a definitive agreement to acquire LIRIC Associates, a UK consultancy based in Oxford that offers expertise in assessing the security needs of highly complex global networks and designing the architecture and policies to secure these networks. This follows the announcement to acquire @stake, Inc., a leading digital security company that helps corporations secure their critical infrastructure and applications. The transactions are expected to close in October. By acquiring LIRIC and @stake, Symantec is expanding the capacity of its global professional services group to help customers bridge the gap between security threats and the security technologies that help manage those threats.
