SSH Announces New Products For Secure File Transfer

HELSINKI, FINLAND and WELLESLEY, Mass. – Mar., 22, 2005 – SSH Communications Security Corp. (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading provider of enterprise security solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the original developer of the Secure Shell protocol, today announced new products for upgrading unsecured FTP connections to secure file transfer connections with high-performance encryption throughout heterogeneous enterprise networks.

The new SSH TectiaTM secure file transfer products build upon the existing SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) functionality of SSH’s Secure Shell technology used by millions worldwide. Incorporating SSH G3TM, the third generation, high-performance protocol architecture and optional CryptiCore® encryption, the new SSH Tectia products are suitable for protecting even the most demanding and throughput-intensive file transfers. The products will be available for all key enterprise platforms including Unix, Linux, Windows, and IBM mainframes, and can be centrally managed with SSH Tectia Manager for reduced costs and easier regulatory compliance.

“The new SSH Tectia products for secure file transfer were designed to meet the growing requirements to upgrade unsecured FTP connections to SFTP with minimum integration effort,” said Arto Vainio, CEO of SSH Communications Security. “Combined with other key features that we have announced earlier this year, including the third generation SSH G3 architecture and SSH Tectia for IBM Mainframe, we now have a robust enterprise-class solution for securing all mission-critical data transfers throughput the network, at the highest performance level of any Secure Shell product available today.”

The new secure file transfer features and benefits of SSH Tectia include:

* A complete client-side SFTP API (Application Programming Interface) for Java and C enabling seamless integration of secure file transfer capability to applications and third-party file transfer management systems.

* Accelerated file transfer performance with the new SSH G3 architecture, optional CryptiCore algorithm, and IBM mainframe hardware crypto facility support to meet critical deadlines and reduce hardware overhead requirements.

* Checkpoint/restart mechanism that provides fault tolerance for large file transfers without performance penalties for increased user productivity, improved transfer reliability, and easier file transfer management.
