Senforce Partners WITH iPASS to Advance Endpoint Security Policy Enforcement

Draper, Utah—June 07, 2005—Senforce Technologiesâ„? Inc., the leader in location-aware enterprise endpoint security enforcement, today announced a technology partner agreement that combines Senforce Endpoint Security SuiteTM with iPass’ secure global connectivity service, iPass Corporate AccessTM. The resulting solution enforces the use of the iPassConnectTM universal client for all remote connections.

The companies have worked to ensure seamless interoperability between the iPassConnect universal client and Senforce Endpoint Security Suite. The relationship advances the security posture of mobile organizations that require users have secure, standards-based wired or Wi-Fi access to enterprise network applications and data.

“This technology partnership agreement will enable organizations to have the ability to enforce security policies that specify the use of the iPassConnect Universal Client by all remote users,” commented Brian McElroy, senior director of Business Development, Senforce. “Senforce’s strength in compliance technology, unmatched in the marketplace, provides significant value that is being delivered directly to customers and through strategic partnerships such as iPass.”

The Senforce Endpoint Security Suite software enables security policy creation and updates that are automatically pushed out to, and enforced on, all clients (desktop computers, laptops and notebooks). Proprietary location-aware technology enables granular controls based on where a user is and how they connect. The solution includes an advanced NDIS-layer firewall, theft protection module that controls storage device usage (thumb drives, CDRWs, etc.), Wi-Fi connectivity and port control, and endpoint integrity features that ensure anti-virus, anti-spyware, system patches and other security solutions are updated and running at all times.

For a deeper level of protection, customers can combine the Senforce solution with iPass’ Endpoint Policy management solution. Clients found to be non-compliant can automatically be remediated and have patches downloaded before they can be allowed to connect to the network to access data or applications.

iPass provides simple and manageable enterprise mobility services, maximizing the productivity of workers as they move between office, home and remote locations. iPass connectivity services utilize the iPass global virtual network, a unified network of hundreds of dial-up, wireless and wired broadband providers as well as 3G services in over 150 countries.

“Working with Senforce will increase endpoint security and compliance options for enterprises,” said Mary Tate, director of Alliances, iPass. “Data security is of paramount importance to our customers, and this alliance helps ensure that organizations can enforce policies that mandate remote workforce connectivity using iPass’ global network of Enterprise Ready access points.”
