Panda GateDefender, the Panda Software solution for protecting network perimeters, has recently been certified by the prestigious ICSA Labs for its effective threat detection within the test protocol designed by the company to evaluate performance of gateway devices.
Before receiving certification, devices undergo a series of ICSA Labs tests, including evaluation of the effectiveness of the appliance in combating “In the wild’ list viruses (they must achieve 100%), as well as 100 percent of ICSA Labs’ Common Infectors and False Positive test suites. The device must also be capable of detecting viruses compressed with PKZip or in mails encoded using UUencode and MIME, logging all actions while scanning.
