e92plus lands exclusive distribution deal for SurfControl on Celestix appliances

London, England – 9 January 2006 – Specialist security distributor, e92plus Limited, today announced it has signed a Europe-wide exclusive deal with SurfControl plc to distribute SurfControl Web Filter pre-installed on Celestix appliances. e92plus will offer resellers Celestix MSA appliances running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, preloaded with Microsoft ISA Server 2004 and SurfControl Web Filter.

The tightly integrated appliance solution is designed for rapid deployment, maximum affordability and optimum performance of a comprehensive security solution.

At the same time, e92plus has also agreed with Celestix to distribute its MSA Security Appliance as a standalone offering. The appliance provides a perimeter defense platform for organisations of all sizes, capable of delivering next-generation enterprise firewall, virtual private network (VPN), and Web cache solution

“We are delighted to have secured an exclusive European deal with SurfControl for a ready-to-install appliance offering based on Celestix,” said Mukesh Gupta, Managing Director of e92plus. “SurfControl is one of the biggest brands in the industry and we look forward to further developing the market with this ready-to-install appliance package.”

“The market for appliance-based solutions is expanding rapidly,” commented SurfControl’s Alliances Director for Europe, Julian Martin. “We believe e92plus is ideally placed to take the SurfControl/ Celestix appliance into this market and look forward to building our brand within their reseller base.”

This bundled solution allows administrators to easily manage fast and secure access to the Internet with granular control. An application-layer-aware firewall performs deep inspection of Internet protocols, which enables it to detect many threats that traditional firewalls cannot detect. SurfControl Web Filter deepens this security by preventing access to prohibited websites, blocking the downloading of potentially dangerous material, or simply reminding users that valuable network resources should not be wasted or abused.
