French VSDL operator Erenis offers customers optimal Internet security protection through F-Secure
F-Secure, a leading European antivirus and intrusion prevention software vendors has signed an agreement with the French operator Erenis to offer hosted security services to its customers.
Erenis, which develops VDLS telecommunications services, is currently deploying a new network with high bandwidth, relying on optical fibre and the use of VDSL in the Paris region. It is considered a forerunner in the provision of high speed Internet connections.
Frederic Boutissou,General Manager at Erenis, said: “Every another Erenis customer subscribes to a very fast Internet access, without always being aware of the increasing risks which rise from an always-on connection,” adding: “The fast antivirus service offered by F-Secure, responds to our subscribers needs. Moreover, this solution includes an effective parental control making it possible to have safe Internet connections for children.”
Erenis will be offering its subscribers two security package options, the first including antivirus and firewall protection with the second offering these services plus a parental control solution.
Speaking about the Erenis deal, Alexandre Durante, General Manager at F-Secure France said: “France has one of the highest penetration rates for broadband connections in Europe, and therefore a great number of users are vulnerable to the threats and the dangers present on Internet today. Jointly with Erenis, F-Secure can now bring a complete security solution to the French market, including antivirus, a firewall, an anti-spam and a parental control service.
