Newly formed Pointsec Wireless Solutions to focus on encryption

Pointsec Mobile Technologies announced the formation of Pointsec Wireless Solutions, a self-sustained business unit within Pointsec Mobile Technologies that will be focused on bringing data encryption to wireless devices in the enterprise. Recognizing the growing enterprise acceptance of smartphone technology and the preference for integrated solutions in the enterprise wireless market, Pointsec Wireless Solutions will be focused on strengthening the channel for Pointsec’s data encryption software for wireless devices with wireless carriers and handset manufacturers.



Pointsec’s system-wide encryption and access control for wireless devices ensure that data remains confidential even if a device is lost or stolen. Its exclusive “on-the-fly” encryption method ensures that encryption is performed according to an organization’s security policies without requiring action on the part of end users and results in virtually no performance difference for the device.
