Panda DesktopSecure for Linux beta launched

Panda Software has launched a new beta version of Panda DesktopSecure for Linux. The Panda Software solution for protecting workstations in Linux environments includes notable improvements, for example, in the generation of reports on the detection of malicious code. Similarly, it is now compatible with more kernels in the Linux distributions supported by DesktopSecure for Linux.

Panda DesktopSecure for Linux also has a new simpler and more intuitive installer, reducing restrictions when it comes to deploying the solution across a company’s IT resources.

The benefits offered by Panda DesktopSecure for Linux include:

– Protection against known malware, protecting the computer against all types of viruses, worms and Trojans, under both Linux and Windows (if the computer is used as a Windows file server for example)

– Protection against unknown malware thanks to advanced heuristic technology.

– Firewall protection.

– Self-diagnosis feature monitoring the status of the protection and preventing the action of malicious code designed to disable security solutions.

– Permanent and on-demand mail protection

Panda DesktopSecure for Linux can be installed on most Linux distributions and includes additional support for the most widely used distributions (Red Hat, SuSE, Debian, Fedora and Ubuntu) in the corporate versions.
