BitDefender unveils next generation security products

BitDefender announced the launch of version 10 of its line of solutions for consumers and small businesses. Employing BitDefender’s new patent pending B-HAVE (Behavioral Heuristic Analyzer in Virtual Environments) technology, version 10 of BitDefender’s Internet Security, Antivirus Plus, and Antivirus security solutions offer consumers and small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) the industry’s strongest heuristics-based technology for proactively monitoring and detecting today’s most malicious viruses, spyware, spam and phishing activity.
 
New Anti-Rootkit Technology

Additionally, all of the solutions will include an anti-rootkit module for detecting and removing rootkits (malicious programs designed to control victim computers while staying hidden.)   Rootkits have quickly become one of the biggest security threats and challenges for consumers due to their extremely stealthy nature and the lack of anti-rootkit tools in most major security products. To celebrate the release of version 10, BitDefender is offering two years of protection for two PCs—all at the price of one to customers in North America who purchase before January 1, 2007.
