Fortify Software enjoyed a record-breaking year of growth
Fortify Software Inc. announced record results for its fourth quarter and 2006 overall. In the past year, the company’s software security solutions spanning the software development lifecycle saw significantly increased adoption among new and existing customers in the financial services, healthcare, e-commerce, government, travel, information security, and professional services markets worldwide, driving Fortify’s annual revenue to almost triple as compared to the same period in 2005. In its fourth quarter alone, Fortify has gained 18 new customers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and China as its leadership in the Asia-Pacific market continues to expand.

In the fourth quarter of 2006, Fortify added Blue Cross Blue Shield, Citrix, EDS, McAfee, ING, Intuit, John Hancock, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Sabre Holdings, Tumbleweed Communications, and UnitedHealth Group to its customer ranks. These companies join leaders such as Amazon, Bloomberg, Business Objects, Cingular, First Energy, L-3 Communications, United States Air Force, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which became Fortify customers earlier in 2006.
In the fourth quarter, adoption for all of Fortify’s products accelerated, including: Fortify Defender, the first and only intrusion prevention solution for web applications already in deployment; the new Fortify Tracer, introduced to help customers improve the effectiveness of black box security testing; and the company’s flagship product, Fortify Source Code Analysis (SCA). Fortify SCA 4.0, released in October 2006, is the most widely used and effective solution to find and fix software vulnerabilities at the root cause early in the development cycle. Its advanced features help developers identify and resolve issues with less effort, while enabling security leads to review and prioritize more code in less time. Fortify SCA supports a wide variety of languages, frameworks and operating systems and delivers depth and accuracy in its results. It can be tuned to be comprehensive when completeness is needed or extremely targeted for day-to-day use. Fortify SCA makes triage, audits and remediation fast and effective for any organization.
