Web security a challenge for visitors to Infosecurity Europe 2007

At Europe’s leading information security conference, Web Security-as-a-Service provider, ScanSafe, invites visitors to put their knowledge about Web security trends and issues to the test against thousands of other security professionals. The company will host a “Web Security Challenge’ for attendees at Infosecurity Europe from April 24-26, 2007 in the Grand Hall at Olympia, London.

The Web Security Challenge is designed to raise awareness and educate users about the latest in Web and IM-based threats. Attendees can take the quiz at ScanSafe’s stand (G180) at the show.   The winner of the ScanSafe Web Security Challenge will win a Sony PLAYSTATION3 (PS3). The stand will also provide refreshments (cooling slush drinks) and keep visitors to the show up-to-date with the latest Web threat data in real time.

In addition, Infosecurity attendees will also have a chance to learn about emerging Web threats in a technical session lead by Eldar Tuvey, CEO and co-founder, ScanSafe.  The session on “Protecting Information from the Rising Tide of Web Threats” will examine the latest Web-based threat vectors including Web 2.0 and Internet search and provide practical advice for protecting the corporate network from these threats.  He will highlight the range of solutions available and the advantages of pushing security out “into the cloud’ with Web Security-as-a-Service.  The session will take place from 10:40 a.m. – 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007.
