(ISC)2 SecureAmericas D.C. area event expands U.S. Government track
(ISC)2 announced the 2007 SecureAmericas information security conference scheduled for May 21-22 at the Sheraton Premiere in Tysons Corner, Va.
In its third year, the two-day conference features an expanded U.S. government track to better address key compliance, workforce and security awareness issues. Jerry Dixon, CISSP, director of the National Cyber Security Division (NCSD), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), will provide the conference keynote address. Leading the national effort to protect America’s cyber infrastructure and identify cyber threats, Mr. Dixon was instrumental in creating and directing the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), which now serves as DHS’s primary element for protecting our nation’s Internet infrastructure by coordinating defense against and response to cyber attacks.
