Radisson Hotels suffer data breach
Between November 2008 and May 2009, the computer systems of some Radisson hotels in the U.S. and Canada were accessed without authorization. At this point in time, it’s still unknown exactly which hotels have been affected.
In general, the accessed computer systems contained guest information such as the name printed on a credit or debit card and the number and expiration date of said cards.
The forensic investigation is still underway and it still hasn’t been announced exactly which customers have been affected. One thing is certain – the accessed computer systems did not include Social Security numbers.
Radisson Hotels issued a statement in which they advise their guests to review their account statements and credit reports closely in order to make sure they don’t become victims of identity theft.
