Foursome fleeing from cyber fraud charges arrested in Mexico

Fleeing to Mexico to avoid prosecution for conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, four Texans were arrested last Friday in Cancun.

Web Host Industry Review reports that along with 15 more people, they were accused of avoiding payment for web hosting and VoIP services provided by AT&T and of using fake IDs to obtain services and goods such as computer racks and office space.

According to an anonymous (but yet unconfirmed) Internet report, one of the heads of the conspiracy – Michael Faulkner – was killed while attempting to pass the border and return to the US. Besides the previously mentioned charges, he was also charged with obstruction of justice and false registration of a domain name.
